Why hand poured matters

Mass-market candles are run on machines by the tens of thousands, and it shows: thin scent throw, mystery wax blends, wicks chosen for cost. Hand pouring in small batches means we control the wax temperature, the fragrance load, and the cure time on every single jar.

We use 100% pure soy wax because it burns cleaner and carries fragrance honestly, and natural wood wicks because the soft crackle is half the experience. If you want the deeper story, we wrote about how small-batch candles differ from mass-produced ones and what hand poured actually means.

And "made in Texas" is not a marketing line for us. It is a return address. Every jar is poured, labeled, and shipped from Springtown, Texas, a town of a few thousand people. When you burn one, you are burning a candle that was made by a person whose name we could tell you.

Common questions

Where are your candles made?

Every candle is hand poured in Springtown, Texas, in Parker County about 30 minutes northwest of Fort Worth. Pouring, labeling, and shipping all happen here.

What wax do you use?

100% pure soy wax, nothing blended in. Soy burns cleaner than paraffin and releases fragrance evenly across the full 40+ hour burn. We wrote a full comparison in soy wax vs paraffin wax.

Do Texas-made candles cost more to ship?

No. Shipping is $4 flat anywhere in the US and free on orders over $60, so three candles or the Republic Bundle ship free.

Are these good gifts for Texans?

They are made for it. The amber jar and leather patch label are gift-ready without wrapping, and the scents map to real Texas memories, from saddle leather to cotton on the line. The Republic Bundle is the one most often bought as a gift.
